Fundriver Balance offers a Fund Statement (formerly named the 'Donor Report'), which displays beginning and ending market values, as well as different types of activity that occurred within a fund during a chosen date range. Oftentimes, institutions choose to use the Fund Statement to provide a snapshot of fund activity to a donor. In those cases, the organization may wish to apply branding and other changes to the statement to meet their needs.


Fundriver Balance no longer offers custom programming and design of the Fund Statement (please see Impact and ODDER for additional donor reporting options available in our suite), however, there are several ways that branding and other minor changes can be applied using our standard Fund Statement report.


Using Letterhead

The Fund Statement has a version that was specifically designed to be printed on an organization's letterhead. The 'Fund Statement for Letterhead' can be found in the Reports > Summary folder. You can run this report for one fund at a time or for all of your funds.


Export the report to Microsoft Word and adjust your margins accordingly. Print on organization letterhead.


Adding Customization in the Header and Footer


The 'Fund Statement', once exported to Word, can have your content, including logos, footers and other text, applied in the header and footer sections. These changes will flow to all of the pages in your 'Fund Statement.' Margin adjustments can be made to ensure your report looks great before printing or sending to donors electronically.

Relabeling Activity Rows or Other Fields


Once exported to Word, simply use the Ctrl + F (Find and Replace) function in Word to make minor verbiage changes to your report. For example, in the report excerpt below, if a user wanted "Contributions" to displays as "Gifts" they would take the following steps:


1. Type the 'Ctrl' button + 'F' while in the Fund Statement document

2. Click the down arrow on the Navigation panel and click 'Advanced Find'

3. In the 'Find what:' box type 'Contributions'

4. Click on the 'Replace' tab

5. Type 'Gifts' in the 'Replace with:' field and click 'Replace All' to make the change on all of the Fund Statement pages.



Notes: 

Changes to Fund Purpose or other narratives being pulled directly from Fundriver Balance should be made directly in the software so that the user won't have to make them again in future report runs.


When using 'Find and Replace' please make sure to thoroughly review your statements to ensure no unintended changes occurred.
